Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Meet big boy Duke! Duke looks like a hound caught in a Great Dane body. This handsome long-legged,  tri-colored  hound is looking for his new family! He is approximately 1.5 years old, sweet, goofy and playful. Duke loves most other dogs and people! He is sharing his home with 6 other dogs and does well with all but the super dominant male. Duke was around kitties all day Saturday at our adoption event, seems curious but not aggressive towards them.  They were in a kennel, not running loose.

Duke is currently crate trained and almost 100% housebroken. He loves to go on long walks, hikes and enjoys a romp in his fenced yard. He likes to talk to you like Chewbacca! Duke knows how to sit and catch a treat. He takes food gently and LOVES squeaky toys!!!! He’s also a champ at getting the last little bit of peanut better out of the jar.

We don't know his history but he found himself "lost". Maybe he wasn't meant to be a hunting dog? That's ok, he's meant to be your new companion.

Duke is neutered, vaccinated (Da2PP, RV) and 4DX HW tested negative, dewormed with Drontal, microchipped,  Advantix applied.
