Astro the Golden needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Crate trained, housebroken, , knows "drop it, sit, stay, come, lay down, roll over, easy". Loves being petted, likes to ride in the car, very friendly, well leash trained. A good description of our Astro. Smart dog! If you should have horses, Astro loves horses. A beautiful boy, His very own family is his true heart's desire. He doesn't like other dogs being in his face or near his food but will play and interact with them as long as they aren't dominant and "in his face'!
Astro is a big boy waiting for a home he can call his own.He loves to play ball and run, he has taken to jogging- he doesn’t pull or give out! He comes back from a long jog without breathing hard..unlike his human counterpoint. He is good with dogs once introduced to them and very good with horses. He also makes a great watchdog.
This is a fantastic dog and has gone through the cell program to redo his basic obedience training.. everyone LOVES this dog.. and you will too. He will not go to a home with young children, and will do fine with another dog as long as it's not dominant and pushy, but NO CATS. Everyone is very impressed with this beautiful boy. He really needs his "person" to be with the rest of his life!
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: Astro is a wonderful dog. He doesn't care for the frolicking of younger ill mannered dogs. He is comfortable and pleasant but other dogs and animals must be respectful of his space. He is NOT aggressive but is set in his ways. He is beautifully trained. When a visitor would arrive at your home, you would instruct him to "sit" and "stay". You wouldn't release him until your guests are in the home and relaxed.
