Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

I just can’t come up with anything more heart-wrenching than the simple truth when it comes to Bugsy: The family he has lived with since he was a pup back in 2001 just brought him to our shelter became they have no time for this 14-year-old guy. And, "He's getting old." Bugsy is housebroken, loves belly and back rubs and will cry briefly when left alone but then is OK, his former family said. They have another, undescribed pet that Bugsy was “best of friends” with, they said. Perhaps Bugsy was looking for that friend when I saw him anxiously pacing back and forth in his shelter cage – or maybe he was looking for YOU? He is available for direct adoption from the shelter, but we are also putting out a rescue plea for him in the hope of improving his chances of leaving quickly. Please help us restore this sweet old gentleman’s faith in humanity. Thank you from all of the staff and volunteers at AACAC. Please share this plea.
