Clifford needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A beautiful red golden retriever! In all his splendor, even ungroomed and in his pound picture, he can't hide that "look" . Brushed and cared for, he is a show stopper. But the best is that family dog, "golden" personality. A fairly young dog at only 2 1/2, he is in excellent health with nice white teeth. He should have many years in which to love you with all his heart. He is going to enjoy playing in your back yard, going for walks, and mostly adoring you at all times. It's what goldens do. His temperament is sweet and friendly, of course. As we said, he's "golden". Ever read "Clifford, the Big Red Dog" to your children? Heeeere's Clifford!
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: He has no "issues" around his food.  You can pick it up without issue and he waits patiently to eat. He is great with kids and plays well with my daughters puppy who is 6 months.   Haven't seen him with cats.  He is great in the house as far as not chewing things or destroying.  If he picks something up all we have to do is say drop or no and he lets it go right away. He definitely need more leash training as he pulls hard and is strong.  He is relaxed and calm and loves hanging out with us in the evening. Wants to be near us inside.  Can get distracted by things around him outside and will give chase, so a fence is necessary.  He is sweet as can be inside and needs room to play outside. Pretty much housebroken if walked regularly (a fenced backyard would even be better for that).  He plays well, loves his toys and will play calmly inside.

This beautiful boy's current caretakers tell us he is a total sweetheart!!!
