All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

If you are looking for an easy to love, sweet dog, Travis is your guy. His foster says "he is a laid back dog and he likes his walks.  He doesn't jump and very calm.  He is wonderful with other dogs." This is one good ole boy, ready to play sniff the grass in the yard and stretch out in the shade. This great temperament comes naturally to Travis, who is hoping to enjoy life to the fullest with his own person or family who live in the country.  Travis is currently located in Berryville, VA.   If you are a hound lover, let Travis become your new love.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER:
Travis is a wonderful Treeing Walker Hound who has had a rough past and is enjoying life more each day.  He is great with other dogs, is too interested in cats to have one in the house with him, fine with school age children, but has never been around babies.  He will need a fenced yard and 3 walks daily.  He likes a soft dog bed and sleeps in a crate all night.  He should not be crated other than that--except for car rides.  Travis would be best with someone at home with him and with a dog friend.  He has some health issues due to being hit by a car, but doesn't let this hold him back.  He is laid back and happy to sleep away the day between walks and yard time.  He is a former hunting dog, so pulls hard when in hunting mode and  needs to be walked in a harness.  Also, since he is still learning about living in a house he will sometimes chew up stuff.  If you are the special person who wants to give Travis the care and companionship he needs and deserves please contact RORR.  His foster mom will be happy to meet with you and talk to you about Travis.
