Oakers needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Full of life, health, and a happy dog, our boy Oakers is also one sturdy guy. Big bones, strong muscles, stocky build, Oakers will not be blown over in a windstorm! And his temperament? So sweet, loyal and loving. Here is what his foster has to say about him...
"Oakers is absolutely the sweetest dog ever and he is full of life"  This great dog is only 1 year old, so he has many, many years to be your best friend. Imagine him striding along next to you on a walk, or playing hard in your backyard, so happy to be able to stretch his legs in the simple joy of just being alive under the sun. Good with other dogs. even cats, he is oh so easy to love. Such a deal with this boy...give him food in his bowl, a friendly pat on the head, and in return you will get total devotion!  Oakers requires a secure fenced yard, and would love another dog as a playmate.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: From Oaker's Foster Family-
Oakey Dokey is his name at our house because that totally describes his temperament. He gets along with everyone-adults, kids and dogs of all kinds. We don't have cats, but he watches our neighbor's cat with some curiosity, but not in any aggressive way. He came to us having never been inside before, and within a week, is mostly housebroken. In that same week he has learned sit and down and is beginning to learn how to walk on a leash. He is foster dog number 19, and I have never seen a dog learn so fast! He is such a great family dog-but let me warn you, when he barks you know he has barked! He is so happy when people come, because he wants to greet everyone. Even when you tell him to sit, his butt just had to wiggle every few seconds because he can't quite help himself. At one year old, he is still a puppy and will make an awesome playmate for another dog. He loves to run around the yard and can go non-stop if the other dog is willing! Anything you want him to do- well he is Oakey Dokey with it!
