All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Little Chelzie is such a happy dog. She is sweet tempered, loving, cuddly and although she is playful, she has a generally calm disposition. She enjoys lap sitting more than anything else in the world. If there is a lap anywhere around, she will find it! She is a confident dog and is currently totally in charge of a huge German shepherd, a Golden retriever, and a dachshund. She has no food aggression at all and enjoys eating near her friends. She LOVES food and does a happy dance when she sees me making her bowl. She stands up on her hind legs and twirls around in a circle like a ballerina, then bounds to where her food is set down for her, looking like a gazelle the way she leaps along. She is not a "barky" dog at all, but she will bark when someone comes to the door, just like a good girl should. She does have a really thin coat and gets cold easily, so she will need a warm wardrobe for fall and winter. Her only fear seems to be thunder, but she is not terrified when it booms, but wants to be very close to her person until the storm goes away. She will hide her head in my sleeve when a particularly loud bang comes along. Chelzie is so easy to love, walks well on her leash, and is a big kiss giver. She does seem to be somewhat nervous around young children and her bones are so tiny that we want her to go to adults, or with older children. This is a dog who will love you with all her heart and will want to be with you, whatever you are doing. The fact that you are there will be enough for her. When you call her, she comes like a rocket, right to your feet.
NOTE: Chelzie came to us expecting and had a beautiful baby boy named Jellybean, also on our site for adoption. She will not be available to leave little Jellybean until Mid July, but if you apply now, you can be getting ready for her arrival. You will be getting the best little girl around.
