Valley Girl needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Valley Girl is a dog looking for her life. She had a rough start to life and deserves a permanent home with someone who will love and adore her. This news flash in from Valley Girl's foster mom! She has been with me for almost three months now and has recently just started to show all her funny personality. She is the calmest dog I have ever known, she just loves to lounge around and take leisurely walks, life is meant to be enjoyed in her book. If you want a laid back companion, she is the one! She will totally stay off the furniture, but if you invite her up she is happy, happy! She also has the cutest little tap dance when it’s dinner time. This girl has a mind of her own, so we do a bit of laughing and negotiating! She loves a stuffed toy to the bitter end, LOL. She gets SO excited when she gets a new one. She likes to keep an eye on her person and will often lay where you are. She is so happy to go out for long walks a few times a day and will walk right by your side.

Every once in a while she will show her zippy side and zoom or play fetch in the yard! Yes, she actually brings the ball BACK! But five minutes of that nonsense and it's back to lounging in the grass for her. She's a dream in the car, can't wait to jump in, hunkers down in the back and you won't hear a peep from her the whole way. She is not an early riser and if her person is having a lazy morning she is very patient with that, she happily sleeps in her bed on the floor next to yours. In fact, on mornings where her foster mom has to rise extra early, she gives her the stink eye! She has been very sweet with the one 7 year old child that she knows but does get overexcited when they run and can be clumsy, so older calmer kids would be best in a permanent situation.

She has likely never been treated with respect by another dog so is making great progress in learning doggie manners!  She has two “besties” that she walks with regularly, a golden and a chihuahua! She is starting to get to know the nicer dogs in the neighborhood and will listen to her persons cues in that arena, and with some patience and guidance will be able to have dog playmates in the future, however would prefer to live as the queen of the house as an only dog.
She is such a wonderful companion, and doesn't ask for much in return, just long leisurely walks, her meals ( don’t forget the meals!)  and a calm home to call her own.
