JJ Beagle needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Adorable and young, barely a year old, JJ Beagle is sweet and playful, good with dogs, kids and cats but a little shy with men. He has good reason to be wary of men. His "person" entertained himself by beating this poor puppy and when he tired of that, decided he would shoot him. Yes, you read that right. Fortunately, there are lots of good people in the world and one of them whisked our little guy away to her home and safety before the man could get out his gun. At only 11 lbs., JJ hopes for a protector and someone who will cherish his tiny body instead of using him for a punching bag. An amazing combo of a smaller beagle and a miniature dachshund, his bones are quite small and light. He fits right into the crook of your arm. A place he feels safe and loved. We think after his awful first year, he deserves to be treasured and spoiled. We hope you think so, too. He is ready to play in your backyard, go for walks with you, and snuggle up for naps. His vet has made sure he has all his shots and is sturdy and healthy. The only question is, then, when would you like to come over and play?" (JJ told us to ask that one!)
