All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Anna | |
|
Anna is a fabulous girl considering the rough life she previously endured. She was part of a hoard. Her owners weren't always so kind to her. They allowed her to have numerous sets of unwanted puppies. She has since been spayed.
This is what Anna's foster Mom has to say about her:
Anna likes a more quiet atmosphere. She is scared of loud noises and loud voices. Anna prefers that you walk slowly around her because she gets anxious easily. This fantastic girl has many good qualities. First of all she is a very easy dog to care for. Probably the easiest I have ever cared for! She just needs to know someone loves her and won't hurt her. It's best if she makes the first move toward you. Let her get comfortable and you will see her sweet side come out. Trust needs to be built then you will get a faithful companion. Anna is also very silly. When she wakes up she rolls all over the bed. Then I swear skips to the door to go out and potty, then runs back in and runs all around the house. She needs to be let out every 2-3 hours (she will use piddle pads if it has been too long in between potty breaks). I believe she prefers to have another small dog around to keep her company, give her confidence and to play with. Anna prefers a fenced in yard as she is not big on leashes. Bones, biscuits, really any kind of treat would be appreciated. She is a very good eater. Anna eats around 8 am and again at 5 pm. She has been eating homemade dog food which she can give you the recipe for if you like or maybe recommend a good food. She has the funniest little strut when she walks around and will give you her paw when she comes over to see you. Anna is scared of hands so please move slowly when giving her attention. She prefers not to be picked up unless you are putting her in bed or it is necessary. She will let you pick her up but prefers not to be carried around. She barks very seldom. A nice warm bed with a toasty blanket would be soooo nice. When the weather is nice Anna loves to sit outside on deck and sun herself. She has the shiniest black fur I have ever seen. She will go up numerous steps but will only go down around 3 at this point. Could be those sort little legs. She is quite curious at first upon meeting cats but if softly corrected she is fine. Anna will not come in if I am standing at the door but if I move away she will come in by herself. Anna is doing great walking with a harness. You will not be disappointed with this fantastic girl.
