Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

At only 8 months old Jolene "JoJo" is smart as a whip! She's a very clever girl who will test boundaries to see what she can get away with at your house though. If you are consistent with her, she will not disappoint! She will meet the expectations you set for her. She loves being outside, even if just to watch you work in the garden. She is also happy to settle in for a cuddle on the couch for a movie. She likes tucked in under the blankets when cold, and is spoiled and used to always being on the couch or bed at night. She loves to try to catch bugs flying in the air. JoJo will chase rabbits and almost caught a chipmunk on our deck, so she would prefer a fenced yard or an active life on leash. She is housebroken and crate trained. She will self occupy herself when alone in her crate with napping or chewing on her bones. She loves to chew! It's her favorite hobby. She will even chew on her bone in the car during a roadtrip! She is an excellent travel companion, great on car rides, and happy to jump into the car independently. She loves all toys, especially squeaky ones. She will return balls to you if you play fetch with her. JoJo alert barks when she hears other dogs bark, or a knock at the door, but quiets fast. She is extremely friendly and happy to meet all humans. All tail wags. She does still need reminders to not jump up on guests or lick their faces. JoJo is currently living with a cat and dog, but requires constant corrections with the cat. She is not mean, just inappropriate and too rough, trying to catch them or initiate unwanted play. JoJo is ok with sharing toys with dogs, but is possessive of stuffed bones and food. She is, and would need fed separately from other animals until this issue was resolved. We are working on this behavior, but it is still an issue. She has shown zero possessiveness or aggressive towards humans touching her food or stuffed bones, just her animal roommates. JoJo previously lived with children and did well. She is a take charge kind of girl, so I'd suggest she'd do best with children 8yrs and older who are big enough to help enforce basic manners and not let her get away with stealing snacks or chewing Barbies. JoJo is just a wiggly body full of happiness and joy that is infectious. You will not have a boring or sad day with this little girl around.

If you are interested in adopting Jolene, please fill out an application at www.reachoutrescue.org and we will forward it to her caretaker.
