All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Morris was taken in by an elderly couple (in their 90s) last winter during a really bad snow storm after he was found trying to take up shelter under some debris in a nearby field.  Abandoned, he was doing his best just to stay alive. This sweet and loving dog was taken in by an elderly couple in frail health. The wife has already hd to enter a nursing home. The husband is still at home but has to have a 24-hour caretaker.  Morris is in desperate need of a home or foster....  If something would happen to the elderly man, Morris would immediately be taken to the shelter by the caretaker.  The shame of it all is that Morris is a great dog.
Morris gets along with other dogs and cats.  He is very excited when first let out of his kennel because he craves attention, but when the caretaker takes him inside the home to visit the elderly man, he quickly settles down and lays beside the elderly man's chair so he can be petted.  Here is a dog who wants to give his life and love to someone, and there is no "someone". Morris could be the dog of your dreams. Already house trained, yet still a puppy, he is ready to live a long and healthy life with you. So smart, he was actually able to survive a terrible winter on his own. He is already proven to be an affectionate dog and is ready for you to teach him anything you would like him to know. He would learn it all in a second! Morris would be an ideal best friend or family dog, as he loves to play with children. His happy face would greet you each day with such joy and he would always remember you had saved him. His gift to you will be undying devotion. His time of safety is very limited now, as the old gentleman is so very weak. He hopes you are out there for him and that you come soon.
