All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Rodney is one very handsome dude who was found as a stray in WV... we still cannot figure out why his owner wasn't looking for him because he's neutered, has been well cared for and just as friendly as can be. With a little more formal training, he will be fantastic.. He's so funny to watch running after the balls with those long legs going everywhere and you can see how much of a puppy he really is. He is going to be a very big boy when he fills out.. Vet thinks his skeletal has finished it's growth but now the muscle tone id developing and he will fill out. Even the vet and techs were really impressed with him.
NOTE: Black on tongues on dogs are NOT a sign of chow in the dog... it is very common to see black tongues on purebred Shepherds, Goldens, Labs, Saint Bernards, etc. It is basically a birthmark and Rodney is definitely a purebred German Shepherd. Now if you see purple, there might be chow but could also be Shar Pei.
