Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

This beautiful girl was dumped as a tiny puppy in a high kill shelter. She is a pure bred German shepherd and really has that "shep" personality...intelligent and loyal to the last breath she takes when she gives away her heart to an individual or family. Still very much a puppy, she is ready to learn from you and will play happily in your yard. She wants to go for walks with you and most of all learn to be just thedog you  want. She has a huge desire to please her human. All she needs is a human to please!  This dog has the potential to be the dog of your dreams. Joyful and outgoing, she is growing into a sturdy, healthy girl who would be is ready for anything,, from search and rescue, to child's guardian, to steadfast best friend. There is nothing like a shepherd in all the dog world! Tara might be waiting just for you...
Tara is listed on our site with her sister, Lana. They are exactly alike. It's like one dog looking in a mirror. Both love other dogs and people of all sizes  ... they will require some basic obedience to make sure they are well socialized and will adjust into a new home for the rest of their lives.

Both the pups are very friendly, well socialized and good manners.
