Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds! |
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Sparky | |
|
|
Sparky has a hard time trusting people. Whenever i approach him , he runs and cowers. I have to corner
him to pick him up to even take him outside. When i do put him on my lap he will slowly get up and walk
away. He does like to sit with my grandkids but not adults. He sits beside them not on them. He shakes
when I carry him.
He is eating well and does run about the house with the other dogs. BUT his safe place is his bed.
I have his bed on our bed at night and he seems to be the happiest then. I can then pet him while
we watch tv.
When I talked to the old owners . The lady said the dog stayed in her sons room all the time and
only came out to eat and go outside... The son is the one that took care of him.. So maybe that is
why he likes our grandkids.
He is a kind and gentle dog. Not an aggressive bone in his little body.
He has just started going up to Bobs chair and wagging his tail like
if he wants to be picked up but every time Bob goes to reach for him he runs. So he is slowly coming
around . Just going to take time and we are very patient with him. Just letting him come around on his own.
He has no problems with the other animals in our house nor do that they a problem with him.
Sparky will need to go to a home that is experienced with shy dogs. I never want to put him in a situation
where he is left alone to be depressed or pushed to be a dog he can't be... So however you want to word it is
fine with me. Just needed you to change it .... He does bark, so he does have life in him... coming out very slowly.
Special Needs: Little Sparky's teeth were so bad that we had to have the last few removed.. but he's happy and healthy!
