Jax needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Jax is young, fun, and friendly...all the qualities that make the perfect new best friend. A happy, outgoing dog, he loves people and is great with other dogs. If you are wanting to add a companion dog to your current pack, Jax would be an ideal choice. And then there is his gorgeous, soft and silky coat. He just shines in the sun and his fur is made for brushing and petting. Especially those beautiful feathers on his ears, flanks, and tail. Wow! What an eye catcher he is. He has not yet given his heart away. Maybe you will be the lucky one!

Jax  loves to be loved on and is a cuddler.. he's a little guy at only 30 lbs.. but lots of personality.. he's low key and easy going.

SPECIAL NOTE FROM JAX'S FOSTER MOM:

He came to me straight from a Georgia shelter, smelling bad, and he let me give him a bath and towel-dry that first day I got him. That's emblematic for how easygoing he is. I HAVE FOUR DOGS, AND HE PLAYS WITH THEM. AND THEY ARE OF VARIOUS SIZES. HE'S AFFECTIONATE--NOT ALOOF, FOR SURE. BUT HE'S NOT A LICKER. HE LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND PETTED. HE'LL COME UP TO ME, WAGGING HIS TAIL A LITTLE, AND I'LL START PETTING HIM. but HE DOESN'T REALLY WAG HIS TAIL WHILE BEING PETTED, SO AT FIRST I WASN'T SURE HE REALLY LIKED IT. BUT WHEN I'D STOP, HE'D COME CLOSER, LIKE, "MORE!" SOMETIMES IF I'M LYING ON THE COUCH READING, HE'LL COME AND LIE IN A TIGHT SPACE BETWEEN ME AND THE BACK OF THE COUCH,. HE SEEMS TO PREFER BEING AROUND ME RATHER THAN GOING OFF ON HIS OWN. BUT HE WILL EXPLORE IN THE YARD AND PLAY.

SPECIAL BONUS: a FREE TRAINING SESSION FROM A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER HAS BEEN DONATED TO THE ADOPTER OF JAX AS A GIFT FOR ADOPTING THIS WONDERFUL DOG.
