All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Sunny | |
|
Oh so tiny, oh so sweet. Born to be a lap dog, little Sunny has never had anyone to love her and was locked in a cage for all her two years of life, put there to breed in a puppy mill. Somehow, while there, she developed an injured foot that was never treated, so one back leg is somewhat twisted, but she walks just fine on it and it doesn't seem to cause any pain or problems. She is a purebred girl, already spayed for you and up to date on her shots. She has been rescued from the terrible puppy mill and is now healing in mind and body. It will take some time, but she is so young, kindness and gentlness will bring her around and let her heart open up to giving and receiving your love. In her wildest dreams, she doesn't even know you are out there. Give her a dream and make it all come true!

If you are interested in Sunny, please read our links to the puppy mill industry, so you will understand what has happened in her background and have a good idea of what to expect from her behavior as she adjusts to the new and happy world she is discovering.

PLEASE NOTE: Puppy mill rescues are not able to be placed in a home without dog experience (no first time dog owners); must not go to a home with young children (too much activity for the dog trying to "make it" in the outside world); and must go to a home where they will not be left for more than a four-hour stretch.
