Marnie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Marnie is getting older the way we would all like to...full of life, happiness, and good health. Even though she is a senior, it is hard to believe it when she is so outgoing, friendly, and trots along on a walk like a much younger dog. Walks! We mentioned walks...Marnie absolutely loves to go for walks. She is happy to see the world on the end of your leash and makes us smile that such a small gift can make her, and us! feel so good. On the small side of medium, this lovely shepherd mix is just the perfect size for any activity. She is well mannered on a leash, and is even already housebroken for you. She will be such an easy dog to love. She is calm, gentle, and friendly. If you have ever known the loyalty and love of an older dog, the wisdom, the gentleness, the kindness that some years of living impart, then you know what Marnie is like. She will move into your life as if she had always been there. She will look at you with those big brown eyes full of gratitude every day, every week, every year of her life.

UPDATE: we tested our Marnie with cats and discovered that while she was very interested in them, maybe too interested, there didn't seem to be any aggression toward them. We are counting this as a good sign.
