All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Shane is a soft, sweet, happy boy. His coat is like silk to pet. His temperament is just as wonderful. A very loving dog, he is going to be a perfect family dog. He likes other dogs, is fine with kids, and is ready to be all yours, with every beat of his heart. He will be great to take on walks, will play with joy in your yard...he would like to be the love of your life. He will certainly try hard! Flat coated retrievers are known to be good natured dogs, as well as playful and fun loving. Shane is no exception and would like to think you are out there waiting just for him!

A NOTE FROM A FOSTER: He is not a super hyper barking pup and respectful of not chewing if you give him the correct things he is allowed to chew on. He has the look and the personality that will win you over in just the first five minutes. He even rode in the backseat loose and just layed there and took a nap. Easiest 6 month old pup I ever brought home, trust me. Even my husband, who is more fond of cats than dogs, took to him in just one night being with us.
