All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Charlie is a very special boy. He sees the world not with his eyes, but with his heart. He has a sweet and loving temperament which makes him so easy to love right back. He is very appreciative of any and every small kindness shown to him. He is able to see some light with his eyes, but his sense of smell is simply great! He can smell chicken jerky quite readily and really, really enjoys his treats enormously. As a senior dog, he is quieter, but he still loves to go on walks and does well on a leash. He would love for you to show him the world and would feel so safe in your care, or your arms. He does well with other dogs, but would also be fine as an only dog. He tries hard to be easy and loving. He is ready to give someone special every beat of his heart in return for walks, food in his bowl, a warm place to sleep, and, most of all, your gentle touch.

We have developed a special page devoted to dogs with vision loss. This information was written by one of our volunteers, with input from several other volunteers, who all have had years of experience with blind dogs. The rewards from a blind dog can be incredible. Please take a look at:
