All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Only a year old, Sherlock has his whole life ahead of him to love you. He has never had a person in his life and he is ready and waiting to give his heart away. A castoff in life, and still so young, he would give anything to know what it feels like to have someone care that he has food, a soft place to lie down, and most of all, someone to stroke him gently on his head. In return for such simple pleasures, he will give you his soul for life. A beautiful boy, we are helping him along by having him neutered for you, giving him all his shots, and getting him ready to begin a life with you. He will be fun to brush, with that soft coat, and is ready to learn from you what you want him to do. He is eager to please and wants to be the best dog he has it in him to be. A shepherd mix, he is going to be your loyal companion. It's in his genes!  

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM HIS CARETAKER:

Sherlock is still on the shy side, but readily allows anyone to pet him, look in his mouth, etc. without flinching. He's gorgeous, but very humble, and we can see him starting to trust again. Sherlock wants to find someone to love. While he would never hurt a child.. they terrify him and therefore will NOT be placed with children under 15 yr old.
