All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Joni is a playful pup always looking for attention and love. While she can be extremely energetic, she can also be very calm and relaxed at times. I guess this is expected with a puppy as they start getting older.

She loves getting her belly rubbed, playing fetch, playing tug of war, chewing on her bones, going for walks to sniff and see new things, playing with other dogs, meeting new people, and when you’re not looking pulling the stuffing out of anything stuffed. Basically a puppy still excited about anything as long as she has attention.

She doesn’t like being left alone (and since I worked from home during our duration, she never was), and I would think she would get anxious if left alone for several hours.

Favorite toys are:

  • anything stuffed
  • bones to chew up/eat

Commands known:

  • "Sit" (w/ index finger pointing down) = sit
  • "Down" (w/ flat hand motioning down) = lay down
  • "Here" = here
  • "Stay" (w/ two fingers motioning across, kind of like scolding/no) = stay
  • "Bang bang" (once she is sitting, w/ 2 finger gun hand) = lay down and roll over w/ belly up (works most of the time)
  • "Get busy" = poop
  • "Go pee pee" = pee
  • "Come on" = encouragement
