Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds! |
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Monkey | |
|
Monkey is a two year old chocolate male poodle that is fully vetted. He came from a Missouri puppymill and was born at the puppymill. He has always been on wire so he walks a little funny but his joints are good and tight. He hasn't been groomed yet as he needs someone to take their time with him. He will be groomed this week and hopefully new pictues will come. He wouldn't breed is why he was given up at such a young age. I call him Monkey because of the odd way he walks, throwing his legs out to the side and hopping more than walking. He has come so far and would be ideal with adults only in a quiet environment. He only weighs about 7 lbs. and he is on Interceptor monthly as well as frontline. After his short lifetime of abuse, he is now ready for the loving home that he was born for. Perhaps you will be the one to show him the great big beautiful world around him and be there for him as he learns about the amazing joy of being loved.
If you are interested in this dog, please read our links to the puppy mill industry, so you will understand what has happened in its background and have a good idea of what to expect from its behavior as it adjusts to the new and happy world this dog is discovering.

PLEASE NOTE: Puppy mill rescues are not able to be placed in a home without dog experience (no first time dog owners); must not go to a home with young children (too much activity for the dog trying to "make it" in the outside world); and must go to a home where they will not be left for more than a four-hour stretch.
