Finnegan needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Do you yearn for someone to tell all your troubles to each and every day? Finnegan is your guy! And he'll talk right back to you, too, carrying on a conversation with his groans, moans, wimpers, and other vocal sounds so convincing that you will be sure he has understood every word and is now telling you all about his day, too! Finnegan is without doubt, a talking dog. Also an extremely affectionate dog, who will love you with all his heart. He is outgoing, friendly, likes children, cats, even other dgos, although he has a strong preference for the girls...how like an Irish dog! A big, sturdy boy, he is full of life and ready to accompany you in any activity. He does need a fence, as his genes have given him a hunting nose and if an otter crosses his path (or maybe a rabbit in YOUR yard) , he will want to go find it. As an added attraction, he is already crate trained and very well house trained. More? He is also already neutered and up to date on all his shots. So, we know what you are going to ask next. Why is this fantastic dog in rescue? And here is the sad part of his story. His person is very, very sick and can no longer care for him. She wants more than anything to know that her best boy will be cared for and loved when she is gone. It could be the Finnegan will begin again, with you!

NOTE from Foster:  Finnegan LOVES to ride in the car, is easy on a leash, and just a sweetheart of a big guy!!  He was no trouble for his vet check-up (loved the vet), and he's microchipped for you!
