All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Stretch is not your typical cat.. she LOVES dogs! When we moved to the area 5 yr ago, she took up residence on our property. She had been chased off her original owner's property by another cat.
We kept her healthy and happy with top grade food and water twice daily, regular vet care, a little house for her with bed and in cooler weather, we add a special bed that heats with her body heat.
We were feeling guilty about her being outside in bad weather so we decided to bring her in the house.. but we have 5 large dogs.. Two like her but the other three will kill her at first chance. So we put her in a large dog crate with litter box, bed, food and water and she's quite content. But she is not getting the proper exercise and fresh air so we have to put her out during nice days... but she's not out but 10 min and she's back at the door trying to get in.. and the dogs trying to get her.
We've had one too many close calls lately and we do not want to see her hurt or killed by the dogs and it's obvious she wants to be an inside cat. She will come to you when you call her, she's not a fan of being picked up or carried but allows us to do that when dogs are around. She LOVES my one golden who loves her too.. but while that's good, the others are not so kind.
We would love to keep her but not at the expense of her being hurt or killed.... so we hope to find a good home where she will be an inside cat and maybe a dog to curl up to.
