Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

About Miss Sheba

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Sable and black
  • Current Size: 72 Pounds
  • Current Age: 13 Years 9 Months (best estimate)
Miss Sheba was born and bred to be a stock dog, but she would rather play with the animals than guard them. She also adores people and wants to be with them. So there you have it. Personality wins over genes. This beautiful big girl is a purebred Anatolian shepherd. Her ancestors have guarded shep for centuries, but our girl? She would rather guard you. Really, she would prefer to be petted, and loved, and to be a family member. Enough of this nonsense of being out in the fields by herself, she told us. She loves children, probably imagnes them as odd looking sheep. Give Miss Sheba a home and hearth any day over the bleak hillsides.
Here is what her foster has to say about her: "Great with people of all ages, friendly and sweet, socialized. Calm, no jumping. Never been indoors but keeps a fastidious area, acclimated to all temps, , easy keeper, no known health issues." She does fine with male dogs, but is not happy with other female dogs. She has to be the number one girl on the block. Definitely knows her mind on that one.
We have given her a gift of total vetting to help her on her way to her goal of family life. She has all her shots, has been spayed, and even has been microchipped for you.
