All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

FROM FOSTER: I am taking care of Callie and I would like to tell you a little more about her.

What a happy little girl!  No sign of any aggressive tendencies and as sweet and cuddly as she can be. She is still very young, and has a lot of energy.  She loves to run around the yard as fast as she can go, but she does settle down and loves to snuggle on the sofa.

She is as smart as a whip, that's the border collie in her.  She will need training, but she learns quickly. She knows "sit" and automatically sits for her food and treats. This week she conquered her arch nemesis "the steps"  Now she runs up and down with no hesitation at all.   I crate her when I am not at home, and she is clean in her crate.  She appears to be housebroken.  She has had only a few accidents since she has been here.

She sleeps in bed with me (and at least two other dogs) and you don't hear a peep out of her all night

Like most puppies, she will chew things occasionally, so I am vigilant.  Her favorite is paper, and when I catch her I just substitute a rope toy,.  She also likes to chase balls, but she hasn't quite learned to bring them back.

Callie, sweet, good natured, young...just a happy girl! She has her whole life ahead of her to give to her special people. She is eager to please and will love to play in your yard, go for walks, and will try with everything she's got to be the best girl you have ever had. Her temperament gives her a great start. Show Callie the world and she will give you her heart.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: Being petted is very near the top of her favorite things. Playing, liketh puppy she is, definitely makes the top spot. She is very otugoing and loves to play.
