From his sky blue eyes, outlined with black like an Egyptian Pharoah, to his strong body and legs, Good Boy Gus commands presence. But he doesn't know it! He is submissive to all other dogs, even small ones, and loves being near his person. He is a regular Velcro dog, always wanting to be in the room with his person or family. If you are there, Gus will be there, too. He loves kids and likes playing with other dogs very much. Not a big barker at all, he WILL "sing" to the JG Wentworth commercial! He likes to sing. Maybe you could teach him some more songs? He enjoys chasing balls out in the backyard, but prefers to have them bounce at least once before he catches them. House trained and always loved in his so far short life, why would this great dog be up for adoption? Sadly, his owner is undergoing long time surgery and chemo treatment and as his wish, wants to know that his beloved dog has a safe place where he will continue to be loved and valued for all his good characteristics. If you would like to give this beautiful boy a home, please tell us soon. His person's time is very short. A loyal and loving dog once, he will be so again for you.

While he is active outside and needs plenty of exercise, he does settle inside.. and does like his crate!  He needs a fenced yard and active family. He is crate trained and will do well with companion dogs and loves children. He is very subservient.
