Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Mirlo | |
|
|
"Mirlo is very good with kids: She is excellent with our baby. She is like a little mommy when he cries but she doesn't get anxious or upset. She likes to watch to make sure I'm doing a good job caring for him. I've only seen her with one child of about 4-5 and she was good. She took a treat gently and didn't jump.
She is excellent with other dogs. All ages all sizes.
Very good with people. Men, women, and strangers.
Good with cats: Yes. She plays with cats that are comfortable with her but isn't pushy to those that aren't interested.
We wish we could keep her but she is really getting the shaft since we have two other dogs and a new baby. She needs a family that can give her all the love she really craves.
She is a good girl and already housebroken.
Mirlo is incredibly sweet and even tempered. She loves to be with people and is somewhat of a lap dog. She likes to play outside but also understands when it is time to calm down and rest. We have taken her to downtown Frederick and to a soccer practice. She behaved nicely with the crowds and didn't startle with people in the parking garage. Mirlo does still have some puppy curiosity in her. She is not ready to be left unattended. She is crate trained and does well when we aren't home but she cries a little if she knows she is being left out. She is easily appeased if given a kong or another chew treat. She was made to be a family dog.
