Mitas needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Young, full of life and oh so smart, even at his young age, Mitas has already learned a lot. He is house broken and even knows his basic commands. He is ready and eager to learn more. If you want to have the best trained dog on the block, definitely think about Mitas. He would be the star of any training class. He WANTS to learn. Very good with other dogs, he will fit into your home easily with his perfect medium size. Ready to play in your backyard, this is a dog you are going to proudly point to and say "yes, he's mine!".  This boy will just cuddle up with you, lay on his back for belly rub and climb right into you.. what a love.. then outside he's ready to play.. always in playbow position for whoever is ready! He's a personal favorite!

Update from foster: Mitas is a very interesting guy... Almost two different dogs, depending on the environment. When he is in the company of other dogs, he is pretty much relentless with his playing, right up to the minute he collapses, But his interactions with PEOPLE are totally the opposite: he will put his front paws up in your lap and be perfectly still so long as you continue to pet him. He is SO still, gentle, and adoring of attention, I think he'd make an outstanding therapy dog.
Mitas, would stay getting petted indefinitely, I think. So, I'm of two minds about what placement might best suit him... While I think he would be fine in a home with other dogs, I continue to think he would be extremely happy as an only dog with an older couple, who can provide adequate exercise.
