All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Welcome to MY webpage!  My name is Merry, and I would love to meet you! See my looong and floppy ears? All the better to hear you with! See my big beautiful eyes? All the better to see you with! Notice the long legs? All the better to chase the squirrels to the nearest tree and then let you know that I've got them cornered! Because I am purebred, I have strong hunting genes, so just to be safe, I probably need a good fence to keep me safe. As for other hunting dog qualities, like barking all of the time, well, I am just not like that at all. I'd rather snuggle with  my humans or play with the kids, so we can all get tired and fall asleep. I am quite friendly and happy, and would love to be your family dog. My foster mom says "  Merry is an extremely sweet girl who gives great kisses and hugs.  You can almost feel her saying “thank you for saving my life”.  She's right; us rescue dogs know we are the lucky ones, and we will repay you with gratitude for the rest of our lives!

My house manners are impeccable.  I am crate trained, housetrained, great with other dogs and excellent with children. Geez, what more could you ask for in a dog?  How about if you chill and watch a movie and I'll play with the kids? I am cheaper than a babysitter, and much better than a video game!

 I love, love, love to go for walks. I will find every scent along the way and get all excited that I have found "something!" We can get fit for spring together!

A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She loves, loves, loves kids, is very eager to please, she is quickly learning our household expectations of her. She is so willing to learn to be your very best dog!!!! I tried the gentle leader with her last night and it worked well.
