Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Trooper is one magnificent German Shepherd. Handsome to look at, graceful when he moves, and inside that super package beats the legendary loyal heart of his breed. Some very lucky person or family will soon get to call Trooper their own. And we know more...this boy is wonderfully house trained and knows a list of commands we are still learning about. He is SO intelligent! He has a friendly temperament, likes people, plays nicely with other dogs, and, much to our amazement, gives kisses to cats! Nice kisses! If you have ever wanted the experience of having a German Shepherd at your side, or already know about that breath taking feeling, definitely take a look at Trooper. He is a dog who will be by your side and would give his life for you.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER:   He is a pretty boy, very dark-mostly black. He has a double dew claw on both hind feet (meaning 2 claws from one extra "toe") He so far is not exhibiting any seperation anxiety but likes the pack all in one place. If my husband  leaves in the car he watches then lays down and sleeps, if he is outside working on the car though he scratches doors and  windows and runs around looking for exits even with me there. He is a little thin. His feet are still very large, teeth sharp and white, moves fast and very smoothly in gait. I believe he should have a fenced yard. He is very agile and can walk over a three foot barrier.
