All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Phoebe is a perfect family dog. She has used her years wisely to become loving, well trained, and has learned how to be the very best "best friend. We believe her foster , who knows her best, should tell you about her:''

Phoebe loved her walkies. She was very enthusiastic and inquisitive and wanted to  sniff everything. She wagged her tail the entire way. Every time we  stopped, she came up and gave me kisses on my face. Phoebe stayed next  to me and was very polite and friendly when I introduced her to my neighbor. She acts like she feels better after her bath and brushing.  Phoebe was a  little apprehensive when introduced to my 90 and 50 lb.  dogs. I took her for a one mile walk and she wagged her tail the  entire way. . Did great at the vet, very calm and inquisitive. ,sniffs the cats. This dog loves being with everyone, may have a little separation anxiety. She is curious about the cats but hasn't chased.  She is smart and acts submissive when corrected. She loves kids, I would recommend older because she is enthusiastic when cleaning faces and giving kisses. Very sweet, loves hugging and will  just cling to you and lick your face. Phoebe has one of the best temperaments I've ever experienced in a dog. I suspect someone has  used physical punishment at some point in her past. I raised my arm when I was dancing with my daughter and the dog cringed and  immediately dropped to the ground and curled up in a ball. Still  kennel training her, not food aggressive, good toileting skills with  no accidents in the house. Her playful side is starting to come out. She is just a lovely little dog.  Calm, sweet, affectionate, the whole package.  Gets along well with the other dogs, but doesn't know how to play.  Not destructive, no crating.  She's just about perfect."
Note: Phoebe is uncomfortable sometimes around children, so we would like to adopt her to a family without children.
