All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sarge is a young, purebred German shepherd who is in need of a new home because his person is military and can't take Sarge with him where he must go. Sarge has been raised lovingly and is a wonderful dog,. Playful, friendly, happy, house trained. He is good with other dogs and children. He has always been loved, never mistreated, and his temperament shows it. He is ready to give you his legendary German shepherd loyalty. His temperament is stable and well balanced, just like a shepherd with fine breeding should be. Here is what his person has to say aobut him:
"He's 2 1/2 years old, shots up to date, no medical problems, neutered, has a
lot of energy and loves to swim, loves to fetch the tennis ball, listens well to commands, house trained, good with other dogs, kids, people".
Sarge will need time to adjust into any new environment which is not uncommon for German Shepherds. He will not go to any home with children under 10 yr old or children who are not used to being with large dogs. He will need a dog savvy home who understands dog behavior and understands that he will be afraid at first and must take the needed time for him to adjust to a new home. Sarge has and is loved very much and we all want the right fit for him. He's a beautiful dog who will be a wonderful addition to the right home. He is great with other dogs and has never been around cats.
