Simba needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS CAREGIVER;
Simba can be a wee bit intimidating sometimes when you walk up to him. He just stares at you. That aside, he is wonderful. Does not appear to be food or treat aggressive. Loves attention and will weave around you for attention. He is a big boy who would do best with older children. He is currently in a kennel situation and doing fantastic. He lays on his bed but when it is time to go out he is ready. Because of the weather he has not been out with any of the other dogs. He is perfectly housebroken, runs out and just wants to come right back in and is waiting by the door. He runs right back to his room looking for, perhaps a treat or meal. He is a big love bug that will definitely need a strong hand and experienced owner and will benefit greatly from training. He does know some commands, although he pretends not to. I have him sit while waiting to come back in and he tries to be a little stubborn but he knows what to do, he just has to realize who is in charge but very gently. Simba is wonderful.
Simba is gorgeous. He is very well mannered and a big love bug. He is extremely smart, already knows some commands, and just overall beautiful dog. The vet was very impressed with him during his recent visit and said he was in great shape, a good weight (90 lbs) and good temperament. As his picture shows, when they say to have a seat while you are waiting, Simba took it literally! He is perfectly housebroken, does not chew up things and loves to just chill out.
We have had a DNA test run on our Simba and it turns out he is royalty! He has two purebred parents, a purebred German shepherd and a purebred Siberian Husky.
