Misty needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A beautiful young husky, Misty would be perfect for an active person or family. Do you like to jog or go for long walks? Misty will love it and be right by your side.  She has been mistreated by a male in her past, and can be shy of a man at first meeting, but soon will warm up when she realizes he won't hurt her. Here is what her foster has to say about her: "Misty is an exceptionally nice dog. Very affectionate, sweet and loving.  Spends her nights in a big crate and does very well." If you want a good girl, who has her whole life ahead of her to love you, think about Misty.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER:

Misty is a wonderful little girl! She is shy, yes, but she is overcoming her fears and enjoying life! My husband started feeding her and walking her and she quickly became his buddy. She can be fearful about loud noises and actions she may interpret as a hit coming. Even then she just submits and lays down belly up. She will get better as she learns you mean her no harm. She loves the other dogs, as long as they are not aggressive and also is great with my 12 cats in the house! She is good with children of all ages and does not chase the chickens. She is afraid of the horses, but then a lot of people are too, as they are pretty big! She has never snapped at anyone, well except bees, she really does not like bees. She eats without guarding issues and Is learning to play. We think she is 1/2 Husky, 1/2 Border Collie. She is smart, agile and has fantastic balance. She may make a great Frisbee dog if taught! She does not pull when being led but will help pull a wheelchair up an incline if asked. She is  great size, about 43 pounds and less than knee tall. Come meet this special girl, she has come to 2 events and everyone fell in love with her!
