Daphne needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

This girl is such a sweetheart! All she wants is to be loved. Show her kindness and you will have her heart for all of her life. Her foster says about her : She is very good with other dogs,,, very quiet and gentle, she is a snuggle bug".
Daphne is a wonderful dog with whom to play out in the backyard, go for long walks, or just hang out watching the clouds go by. Friendly, happy, outgoing, she just might be the best do you have ever had. Still very young, she hopes to celebrate her second birthday in a real home and will be grateful to you every day for making her world perfect. She has been learning the leash much better but still wants to pull on it a bit.  I think she will get better at this. She is VERY ENERGETIC!! She is a vrey good watch dog.  She is very aware of her surroundings and lets you know exactly when something is out of the normal routine for our home. She is happy to go into her kennel without any problems. She would be good in a fenced yard and has never tried to dig out at my house.  As for toys, she likes to play tug with the rope kind but I also think she would learn to fetch a tennis ball easily if you spent time teaching her.  She does like to chew rawhides and milk bones but she saves her rawhides for later.  She will chew awhile, try to bury it and return for it later.  I think she is still underweight for her size but with a permanent home, less stress and continued good food  that will improve. Her appetite is very hearty!!!
