Ten beautiful puppies, full of life and love, nearly ready to go out into the world and love you with all their hearts and show you that legendary German shepherd loyalty all the days of their lives.  They were born October 13, so they will be ready to be Christmas puppies on December 13. Chubby and healthy, their mama is a glorious purebred black German shepherd. See her picture below? We believe the father was also a German shepherd, but we can't swear to that one. What we do know is that these puppies were born at the home of one of our volunteers out in the country and are already up and about, looking at the trees and fields, and especially enjoying chewing on each others' ears. These are going to be big dogs. At only 3 weeks, some of them are nearing 7 lbs. They have sturdy legs and shoulders and well developed haunches already.
There are 5 sweet girls: Helga, Hedda, Johanna, Liesel, and Brigitta, and 5 stocky boys: Killian, Rolf, Franz, Bren, Wolfgang. We will make sure they have received all  vetting care and shots that are age appropriate before they leave the farm.  Keep watching, more pictures will be posted here as they grow.
