All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Jeff had a miserable start to life and was abandoned by his family. He was alone and frightened. He has now spent time with his foster and has learned that there are really people out thre who will love him and treat him well. He is now ready for his forever home where he will be loved forever and always. Here is what his foster has to say about him...

 "Jeff is a beautiful mix who is about 18 months old. His parents say he is the sweetest dog, attentive and always eager to please. Jeff is only being rehomed because his current family is expecting a new baby and he doesn't do well around small children. They are heartbroken over it, but know he will make someone so happy! Jeff loves playing with some other dogs  and could run for hours. That being said, he is more than happy to sit by your side on the sofa and curl up for a nap! Due to his timid and sometimes fearful personality, he would not be adopted to a family with children under 12. He has some dog selectiveness so a mature calm dog with be best to teach him confidence.  Jeff requires a fenced yard just to make sure he does not get around smaller children or dogs that may make him fearful.

NOTE: We want Jeff to go to a home with a physical fence so he can play freely and safely. Also, Jeff does not interact well with other dogs when he is on a leash. He will become agitated if he meets another dog while leashed. Most of the problem seems to be solved if he is not on a leash.  He seems to feel defenseless when restrained.
