Animal Success Stories
We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Hunny

UPDATE: Just thought you would like an update on Hunny - He is settling in wonderfully and is quite a happy guy. Attached is pic after his spa day ! Debi Hunny is settling in just fine. We have decided to call him Harley – keeping with the H and Y but sounding a little more manly! He is so comfortable with his surroundings that it's amazing - he really seems like he has Woodrow ' a spirit within him. He sleeps upstairs in my room and I've even put him on the bed. He jumps off on his own without any difficulty! He also does stairs just fine. He loves to go for walks and stands at the front door when he wants to go for a walk. He also loves looking out the window. My daughter took him and her dog Ditka for a long walk yesterday and he really enjoyed it - kept up with Ditka with no problem.! Britany said she couldn't even tell the age difference between the two! Regarding his pills – yes he is a stinker! We are adding glucosamine tablets and the senior chew daily but it is a struggle to get those pills down. We have tried Ham , cheese, pill pockets, peanut butter, and hotdogs. Each of them work a few times and then he catches onto it and refuses to take them! We are working on it though. We all love him dearly and are very happy to have him. Oh he also met my other daughters friends dog who comes over a lot – Apollo. They got along very well too , and he does well with our cat Mo- The other day Harley was sleeping in his bed and Mo was on the floor right next to him!. I'll continue to keep in touch and send pics he says to say hi. Take care Debi

Harvey Curls

When foster, adult children and neighbors are in tears over a dog leaving for an adoptive home, you just know, the dog must stay there!!! and so it is that Harvey Curls is now a permanent member of the foster family. Now that we lost a foster, we are making the family work for it by giving them other RORR duties!!! LOL

Hunter

Hunter and his new mom! She is going to love that boy to death!

Hazel

HAZEL UPDATE!!!!! I couldn't stand it I HAD to call to see how she was doing! AND she is doing GREAT!!!! Ginny said she had visitors today -- the 3 little grandkids and Hazel LOVED it! They were hanging over Hazel playing with her -- Hazel would roll over for them to rub her belly then have them chase her around and around!! Ginny's daughter said "it sure is good to see you have a dog that she doesn't have to worry about her children around!" Hazel hangs with Ginny more than John -- but she does snuggle with both of them! I told Ginny probably because Hazel has only had women around her since being with RORR. She doesn't beg for food while they sit down to eat---she actually lays there on the floor waiting for them to get done. Ginny said even when she herself is eating a snack Hazel does not beg for it! When Ginny makes dinner --- Hazel goes into the other room! They had a thunderstorm and it did not bother Hazel at all!! She slept in her own bed just fine---that is a standing joke the day of the meet-greet us saying Hazel will find her way to their bed! She LOVES the sqeaky toys and takes them right to her "plush" bed to play with them John said! They absolutely LOVE her!!! I talked with both Ginny & John! He is going to get pics to us soon he said. John said quote "she sure is a special girl"! A HAPPY ENDING FOR SURE FOR OUR "BABY GIRL" HAZEL!!!

Honeydew

Little Honeydew came in and was all she wrote!!! She is one happy little girl.
