Mulligan
Mulligan is settling in nicely. He is a very friendly and spunky guy. Every morning we take an hour walk in the park next door. We work on his commands and he is getting to know some of the dogs who walk there. We have not started obedience class but will soon. He is full of energy and I need some help in handling him. Today we went on a three hour hike. He learned how to cross shallow streams. In the beginning he was nervous of the water but by the end of the day he was a pro. I believe his favorite thing may be chasing squirrels up the maple tree in the backyard. He also loves giant bones. So far his stools have been fine and I think he is less itchy as well. Let me know if I may send an update to his handler, his letter was very useful for us. Thanks and I will keep you posted.
Magnum
Magnum is doing great. He starts training tomorrow night. I am taking him to K-9 Basics in Marlton, NJ. I am so excited. Magnum is such a great dog. And yes, he puts a smile on everyone's face. I had a get together on Sunday for my brother's birthday and Magnum was so well behaved. He really loves Cosmo and Elaine. They are co-existing so well. I do not let them outside together yet. Magnum still wants to play like the dachshunds are 90 lbs also. Now, this is probably going to sound crazy but....did Magnum ever try to climb a tree? He was trying to get a squirrel yesterday and actually tried to climb a tree. My husband had to get him down. He just started doing this. I am wondering if he climbed the fence at the other owner's homes. Anyway, it's the funniest thing. He thinks hes a bear!!!LOL
We love, love love, Magnum-he's the best and he really filled that void in my heart after I lost Beans.
Take care,
Brenda
