We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

He gets along well with both the dog and the cat. He is scheduled for the next training class we could get in, which is the end of the May.
Just an update on Hamish. I have been working from home the last few days and, mid afternoon, couldn't find Hamish anywhere. I had already checked the bedroom twice. Anyway, feeling more than a bit perplexed I went back to the bedroom and caught sight of a little black nose peeking out between the pillows. Wasn't quick enough to capture the picture before he stretched out and became more visible, but this image gives you a bit of an idea. He is such a character and we love his to bits!
Now that he is all settled in we are starting to plan for some obedience classes so we can all brush up on our walking skills. He is generally pretty great on his walks, has come to know most of the neighbors dogs who we frequently meet, and is always very friendly and happy to meet everyone. Squirrels continue to be his greatest distraction but who can blame him, they are constantly beckoning him to play chase. Next big thing on our list is to have a portion of our yard fenced so that he can have some time off leash while outside.
Anyway, this is just to let you know that we are all well and well loved, thanks to Hamish and to you!Update-
Hamish is such a snuggler and he absolutely adores his walks! We've settled into a routine of early morning walks, a big walk at lunch and two more walks in the evening after supper and before bed. We've discovered he also loves to burrow under blankets. He's not much for the cold so he now has a new green coat (picture in next email). He now has two beds, one upstairs and one in my office, although he can usually be found wedged between Lincoln and me at night.
We have also discovered that he loves to get treats out of a rolling bowl - he will nose it around the room to make it spill its goods. He is doing great with his training too. He knows sit and stay and we are working on come.
He is very good at walking beside us on his leash and is very social and friendly when meeting other dogs. He is just the perfect little gentleman and we are in so happy he picked us!
From Hamish's new family - looks like he moved right in!
Just wanted to send you a picture is Hamish sound asleep and snoring beside me on the couch. He ate his supper as soon as we got home and has explored the house and has been out for two walks. He really, really likes going for walks! Linc and I adore him! We will keep you posted on his progress over the coming weeks.
Thank you so much for the work you do to find homes for these wonderful animals! And thank you for the joy that is Hamish!
I took him to our vet and I found out that she believes that as he was going through his growing stage he was unable to fully stand up on his back legs which caused the hunched over looked. He also has, what she believed, to be pretty bad arthritis in his back knees. She told me that with lots of physical therapy and time he should be able to regain a lot of the muscle that was lost in his back legs and may even be able to fully stand up again. I have begun the physical therapy on his back legs and he already looks like he is able to move better.
We are happy to announce that we have switched from using Purina to using the Fromm and Orijen brands that Helen showed us when we picked him up. Argo's dandruff has pretty much gone away and he is slowly gaining the much needed weight.
Overall he has been a super good puppy and he and our current dog play constantly together and have even started to take naps next to each other.
Thank you very much for helping us find our new family member!
