This sweet, happy baby was such a surprise! Mama Freckles was found abandoned, hungry, and in need of help. She was taken to a place of safety, settled in, and the staff went home for the night. Next morning, SUPRISE! There were puppies snuggled in next to her! This little one was nursing away, warm and safe. The family has since been moved to a great foster home, where the puppies will grow strong and healthy while awaiting their 8 weeks with mama. They should be ready to go to their new homes around the end of June. Mama is a wonderful mix of Border collie and Australian shepherd. She weighs in around 40 lbs., so we are guessing that the puppies will be similar. We are NOT guessing that they are cute and cuddly. We KNOW they are! All look to have mama's feathery coat and will grow up to be medium sized dogs. Mama's temperament is loving and friendly and she will teach that to her babies. As they grow, we will make sure they are well socialized and they will get all their age appropriate shots and vetting. Soon, they will be able to explore the great big world with you!
