Chauve (prounced Show-va) may have a fancy name, but she is a good, solid, loving, wonderful family dog. She is incredibly sweet and extra grateful for any small favor. A gentle pat, a soft bed, food in her bowl are all things for which she will look at you with those eyes saying "for me?" Her foster describes her as "humble" and it's a perfect word to use for her. She's never out front, trying to capture attention, always just happy to be included. She has shown herself to be friendly with all the people, dogs, and even cats she has met. Again, not a dog who wants to cause trouble, just be loved. She will always be happy to be by your side, to go for walks, and to chill each evening with you. When people speak of a dog's quiet devotion and loyalty, they are talking about a dog just like Chauve. 
NOTE: She does have some current hair loss due to a bad situation, but she has seen a vet, all is well, and it's growing back nicely.
