All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Patches has been with one older individual since he was a puppy and does not understand that she is gone forever. He is used to being well cared for and especially well loved. He misses the "well loved" part very much and is very good at keeping up his half of that bargain and then some. He has a graduate degree in loving! As a senior, he has had plenty of time and practice at showing you how he can bat those big brown eyes at you when he wants something (like a treat, or a bite of your toast) and he always knows in his heart when you need to be cheered up, or just have a friend near you. He is a "best boy" when it comes to being a friend. He is used to a relatively peaceful life. Nice walks, cuddles, playtime in the backyard when the weather is nice  and play in the livingroom when it's cold or rainy. He adores food and our vet said he has too good a relationship with food. In other words, it's time for a diet. He should be a few pounds lighter. So, if you have made a New Year's resolution to lose some pounds, you are going to have a buddy doing the same thing! You can both look at that potato chip bag and put it out with the trash. You will not be able to sneak a chip. Patches will hear you from anywhere in the house! Probably down the block, too. If you want a well trained companion, someone to love and who will cherish you back, take a good look at Patches. Hide the chips, first.
